Wheewls began on a boardwalk in Mission Beach. We had two scooters and a Sunday. The rest came slowly, the way good things do.
Why fat tires
Boardwalk seams, beach paths, the occasional cobblestone. Skinny tires complain. Fat tires forget. The whole fleet is built around them.
Why these cities
San Diego, Tampa, and Miami share a kind of light. Long shorelines, late afternoons, and routes that reward going slowly. We open where the ride is the point.
